The Client

Don Alfonso 1890 Toronto, from famed Michelin star chef Alfonso Iaccarino, is the newest dining experience brought to Toronto by the Liberty Entertainment Group.

The Challenge

Chef Alfonso was in town for just two days to meet with Toronto media to introduce his latest venture and to speak with press. Siren’s challenge was to curate a select group of media, food bloggers and food Instagram stars to publicize the restaurant with the ability to bring Michelin to Canada for the first time ever.

The Solution

Siren secured a guest list of 45 confirmed guests, including some of the top food writers and critics in Toronto. Individual interviews were secured for feature stories in The Globe and Mail, Canada’s Top 100 Restaurants, Food & Wine Magazine, Elite Gen, Toronto Life, Toronto Star, Toronto Sun and Post Media. Over 2.7 million social media impressions were generated by guests in just over 2 hours.

In the weeks following, leads for prestigious events resulted from the luncheon. Siren secured a media celebration for 14 of the top female editors in Canada to be held at Don Alfonso 1890 for a private power luncheon.
