Ann Layton  Founder & CEO  Ann Layton is widely recognized as one of the world's leading specialists in the field of travel and tourism communications. Prior to starting Siren Communications in 2002, Layton was Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts where she was responsible for all communications for over 70 hotels worldwide. She has a Master's Degree in Economics (MSc) from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and is fluent in French and Spanish.  Named "Green Hotelier of the Year" by the International Hotel Association in Paris France, Layton created and implemented one of the industry's first comprehensive environmental programs. Layton has served on the Communications Committee of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) in London, England, and was an original member of the International Hotels Environment Initiative (IHEI) under the auspices of the Prince of Wales Business Leaders Forum.  She found her love for the industry working as a waitress at Jasper Park Lodge and is a former Wardair flight attendant.

Tim Gallant  Vice President  Tim Gallant is a seasoned PR professional with 15+ years of experience conceptualizing and executing campaigns that raise product awareness, improve brand recognition, and drive sales for leading international lifestyle brands.  Before joining Siren Communications, Tim led external communications for Starbucks Canada. In addition to strategy development & execution for the coffee giant and its 1,600 stores across the country, Tim handled one of the most notable crisis communication challenges of 2018 when two men were arrested without cause in a Philadelphia Starbucks store. Tim oversaw the retailer’s historic response – the one-day closing of all company-owned stores for sensitivity training.  Previously, Tim was Director of Communications for Harry Rosen, a leading Canadian luxury menswear retailer. Here he produced and edited content for the retailer, managed digital marketing campaigns, and media launches in partnership with the world’s most desirable fashion brands. Tim began his career in PR with his own boutique fashion and lifestyle agency.

Tim Gallant is a seasoned PR professional with 15+ years of experience conceptualizing and executing campaigns that raise product awareness, improve brand recognition, and drive sales for leading international lifestyle brands.

Before joining Siren Communications, Tim led external communications for Starbucks Canada. Vera Blair  VP Office & Client Administration  Vera Blair has been with Siren Communications for more than a decade. Vera brings her years of experience to the table in the creation and implementation of effective PR and marketing strategies for Siren clients.  Vera excels at maintaining the high-quality standards that the agency is known for, taking a structured approach to ensuring Siren clients are valued and well served. She is most proud of managing Siren’s internship program, which helps many young professionals gain early experience in the public relations field.  Vera completed a degree at Ryerson University with a focus on fashion design, production management and business administration. She also completed the Human Resources Management course at University of Toronto, School of Continuing Studies. She is passionate about travelling, yoga, and health and wellness.

Natalie Skocaj began her career in the retail industry, working for Canada’s leading luxury menswear retailer, Harry Rosen. After a successful start managing appointments at the retailer’s flagship store, she transitioned onto the marketing team where she oversaw the social media strategy, events programming, and public relations outreach. Natalie quickly developed a collaborative approach to business working in partnership with the world’s most luxurious brands including TOM FORD, Armani, Ermenegildo Zegna, and others.

As Account Supervisor at Siren Communications, Michael manages and oversees influencer campaigns and facilitates broadcast, print and online media opportunities across Canada. An influencer in his own right, Michael provides Siren and its clients with valuable insight on best practices for influencer outreach. Melissa Konstantas graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Commerce, specializing in Marketing and Communications. After working in marketing, she decided to pursue public relations and graduated from Humber’s College Public Relations Postgraduate Certificate program.

Her passion for travel lead her to Siren Communications, where she supports the team with day-to-day activities and assists with the implementation of PR strategies.

 
Sammie Bassir  Accountant, CGA  Sammie Bassir is a Certified General Accountant (CGA) and certified professional (CPA). Sammie has a BA in Economics from University of Tehran, certified by University of Toronto. She’s worked with Siren Communications since February 2018 and brings years of accounting experience to the team.

Sarah Bresler  Consultant  Sarah Bresler is a PR consultant, working on the Exclusive Resorts account at Siren on a freelance basis. She previously worked full time at Siren from 2012 to 2015 as a manager where she looked after multiple accounts. Sarah received her undergraduate degree in Journalism from New York University, and at this time held various internships in the fashion world, for brands including Alexander McQueen, Diane Von Furstenberg, and at Esquire Magazine. She began her career in PR at leading agency PRCo in London, England in 2010, where she was an account executive on luxury travel brands, including Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. She moved back to her hometown of Toronto in 2012 where she worked for Siren, and then transitioned to an in-house role doing PR for CHANEL for two years before going out on her own at the end of 2017.

Sarah Bresler is a PR consultant, working on the Exclusive Resorts account at Siren on a freelance basis. Aaron Saunders   Account Manager & Writer  Aaron Saunders is an Account Manager at Siren Communications with primary responsibility for Silversea Cruises. Aaron has been a freelance journalist specializing in cruise and luxury travel for a decade. He is also the author of the nationally-syndicated cruise column Ports and Bows and regularly contributes to consumer and trade publications around the world.  Prior to entering journalism and public relations, Aaron served as an online and offline film editor based in Vancouver for several high-profile animated television series.

Aaron Saunders
Account Manager & Writer

Aaron Saunders is an Account Manager at Siren Communications with primary responsibility for Silversea Cruises. Aaron has been a freelance journalist specializing in cruise and luxury travel for a decade. He is also the author of the nationally-syndicated cruise column Ports and Bows and regularly contributes to consumer and trade publications around the world.

Prior to entering journalism and public relations, Aaron served as an online and offline film editor based in Vancouver for several high-profile animated television series.
