Founder & CEO
Ann Layton is widely recognized as one of the world's leading specialists in the field of travel and tourism communications. Prior to starting Siren Communications in 2002, Layton was Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts where she was responsible for all communications for over 70 hotels worldwide. She has a Master's Degree in Economics (MSc) from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and is fluent in French and Spanish.
Named "Green Hotelier of the Year" by the International Hotel Association in Paris France, Layton created and implemented one of the industry's first comprehensive environmental programs. Layton has served on the Communications Committee of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) in London, England, and was an original member of the International Hotels Environment Initiative (IHEI) under the auspices of the Prince of Wales Business Leaders Forum.
She found her love for the industry working as a waitress at Jasper Park Lodge and is a former Wardair flight attendant.
