The Client

Memories Resorts & Spa, by Blue Diamond Resorts, consists of 12 properties ranging from all-inclusive, family hotels to private, adults-only retreats. With properties in Cuba and the Dominican Republic, Memories Resorts & Spa is committed to providing the highest quality of service for every type of guest. 

The Challenge

Bring the Memories Resorts & Spa brand to the digital-savvy, millennial demographic by hosting Siren's first-ever social media trip.

The Solution

Siren organized a social media trip to Memories Varadero Beach Resort in Cuba for a select group of Toronto-based travel and lifestyle social media content creators. The content creators were chosen based on their outreach of more than 82,000 viewers per month, and extensive following that matches Memories Varadero's key demographic.

Siren selected Amanda Phuong, Editor-in-Chief of View the Vibe and Style Democracy, and Kate Bialowas, founder of Lipstick & Muffin Media, and Layered Indulgence. Siren Managing Editor of Digital and Social Media, Sarah Harris, accompanied both tastemakers on their social voyage.

Siren developed a social strategy that involved generating unique content and posting 2-4 social posts a day. In addition, the geotag “Memories Varadero”and hashtags #CaptureMemories #MemoriesVaradero and #DiamondClub were used with each published post across all social platforms including Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. 

Siren set a goal of 500,000 digital impressions across all platforms. 

The Results 

• Over 1 million organic digital impressions generated, quickly surpassing Siren's original target
• The selected content creators garnered 6,819 combined Instagram Likes and 472 combined Instagram Comments
• 6 blog posts published on online outlets ranging from 2,000 - 70,000 unique monthly visitors
