Ritz-Carlton Montreal Gala
Background
The iconic Ritz-Carlton of Montreal, one of only four hotels in the world designed by Cesar Ritz.
The Challenge
The Ritz-Carlton, previously the grandest and most iconic hotel in Montreal, had been closed for over four years as the owners lovingly restored it to its rightful place as a symbol of the city. The challenge was to completely reposition the property in the eyes of the public, which had become jaded pre-closure when the hotel had become dated and tired.
Siren Strategy
Siren handled all aspects of the hotel opening including a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by Quebec and national media, followed by a well-organized press conference with representatives from the ownership group and the Ritz Carlton organization. Following the press conference tours were organized throughout the hotel for media, who were then invited to a grand luncheon in the famous round “Blue Room” at the Ritz.
For the grand opening gala, Siren handled all the media relations for the visit of HRH Prince Albert and HRH Princess Charlene of Monaco, who attended the gala as guests of honour. Siren invited select media as guests for the gala resulting in significant coverage in social pages across Canada.
